Feng shui (pronounced as "fung shway") is an ancient Chinese culture that aims to give the beneficial movement of chi (the life force present in all things) through a space.

The main difference between feng shui or "vastu"(in Hindu culture) and western culture is a belief that we humans are connected to the spaces we inhabit. The one who belief in feng shui see sacred reason and mystical sense behind design, not just artistic approach like buildings or superficial good surroundings. what is Feng Shui?

What is feng shui? It's not a simple quetion that can be answered easily. Feng Shui is an ancient art or you can say science which was developed over 3,000 years ago in China. It reveals how to balance the energies of the person for good fortune who inhabit it.

Feng shui is pronounced as "fung shway". It is the ancient Chinese practice to configure home or office environment to progress health, happiness and prosperity. Feng shui consultants advice their clients to adjust their environment from color selection to furniture placing in order to promote health, wealth, happiness and prosperity.

"Feng" stands for "wind" and "Shui" stands for "water". In China, gentle wind and clear water is always associated with good harvest and good health. Therfore, "good feng shui" means good living and fortune, while the "bad feng shui" means misfortune. Main tools used for feng shui analysis are Compass and Bagua. Bagua is octagonal grid having symbols of I ching on which the feng shui is based.
